8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Innovacorp Enterprise Centre
1344 Summer Street, Halifax
In December 2012, Premier Dexter announced Nova Scotia’s intention to develop the former Bowater Mersey mill in Brooklyn (Liverpool) into a new centre for demonstrating and piloting cleaner energy, bioenergy and forestry innovations.
The new centre is in the early stages of development. The goal is to build a model that advances the resource-based bioeconomy and provides opportunities for partnerships and collaboration between industry and the research community. The former mill offers the advantage of a demonstration or commercial-scale facility, with access to steam and biomass supply for research and development of bioenergy technology. There is also on-site access to a wharf and port.
Innovacorp is hosting this forum to bring together interested industry players to understand their needs and how we can tailor infrastructure for the bioresource-based industry.
