Julian Race has been exploring the oceans on research vessels and private endeavors for many years. As science technology officer on the Alucia, Julian works to help the OceanX marine exploration initiative, and supports exciting missions to remote places. Join us Thursday, August 23 at COVE, as Julian discusses some of his past adventures and missions, and the importance of ocean exploration to our understanding of the planet.
Julian is also involved with a non-profit organization that aims to innovate the way we explore and understand the polar regions, particularly Antarctica. Julian and a team of scientists and explorers aim to make the first-ever scientific sea kayak expedition to navigate the length of the Antarctic Peninsula. Join us to learn more about this historic mission, and hear first-hand accounts of high-seas adventure and science.
