On February 8, 2012, over 250 Nova Scotians celebrated innovation and entrepreneurship in the province at the World Trade and Convention Centre in downtown Halifax. That evening, Innovacorp announced DeNovaMed Inc. as the provincial winner of the I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition, and celebrated the 1st and 2nd place award winners from the competition's five provincial zones.
